The Anne Bradstreet Society
Known as the first poetess of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, Anne Bradstreet -- wife of one of the early governors of the Colony -- holds a special place in the hearts of many. Her poetry was of the family and familiar places, but she was well educated and knowledgeable in history, languages, music, and religion.
Donors to the Anne Bradstreet Society will be listed separately in our Annual Report, as well as on a special supporters page on our web site, with their permission.
St. Botolph's and the American Friends will host an annual event honoring Bradstreet and the donors to her society, starting in late 2009, after the 700th Anniversary celebrations for St. Botolph's are over.
